What you’ll be doing

1. Learn backend infrastructure: Cover game world systems, networking, build pipelines, version control, data center hardware, and cloud infrastructure.
2. Handle support & troubleshooting: Manage day-to-day support requests and troubleshoot issues across live systems, escalating quickly when needed and following up to understand root causes.
3. Support development teams: Help manage cloud-native workloads and consume our cloud platform through Infrastructure-as-Code.
4. Manage Linux fleet: Contribute to the management of our Linux virtual machine fleet, including monitoring, configuration management, and workload optimisation.
5. Incident response: Participate in incident response and post-mortems to develop an understanding of how complex systems fail and how to make them more resilient.

What we’re looking for

1. Comfortable working in a Linux terminal environment and writing bash scripts.
2. Familiarity with at least one programming language such as Python.
3. A solid understanding of networking concepts and the OSI model.
4. A genuine problem-solving mindset with a passion for working through complex issues.
5. Good communication skills, a desire to keep learning, and the confidence to ask questions and challenge existing approaches.
6. Prior infrastructure or SRE experience is a plus.
