Born in the heart of London, our multicultural team takes inspiration from the culture and history of our home in one of the most diverse cities in the world.

Your New Role

The role focuses on creating exciting, emergent gameplay by coordinating combat-related and navigation-related NPC behaviours that empower player freedom and choice.

Your Role Accountabilities

  1. Creating, developing, and maintaining gameplay systems and features in C++.
  2. Producing solutions to large, complex, and sometimes not well-defined gameplay problems.
  3. Working closely and proactively with Design to come up with fun and engaging gameplay, and informing them of risks and opportunities.
  4. Providing suggestions and feedback to other members of your team, including via code reviews.
  5. Being a positive, active, and contributing team member taking broad responsibility for your work.
  6. Communicating effectively with your Lead, your team, Production, and other departments.
  7. Supporting production processes, including backlog review, task estimation and breakdown, and Jira ticket management.
  8. Following and championing development best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Experience developing gameplay systems using C++, including areas such as AI, navigation, and combat systems.
  2. Understanding of modern gaming platforms and experience developing software for one or more of them.
  3. Experience contributing to the development and successful delivery of a commercial game title, preferably within a AAA environment.
  4. Strong game design skills, with the ability to demonstrate your approach through previous work, projects, or portfolio examples.
  5. Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  6. Experience with Unreal Engine 5.
  7. Familiarity with Rocksteady titles and design philosophies would be advantageous.
